Edge Wall / Ceiling Lamp

The Edge wall lamp / ceiling lamp was designed in 2004 by Alessandro Mendini for the Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide.
Here you see a luminous cube with reduced design, that can be installed on the wall or ceiling and looks like it is melting into the wall. The light source is located at the dull edge of the cube, which is mounted to the wall or ceiling with a ring nut.
Thanks to its timeless simplicity the Edge wall lamp or ceiling lamp effortlessly adapts to other furnishing styles.
The cube was manufactured using a special rotation-technique, that guarantees ideal light efficiency. The essential design - based on pure geometric shapes - makes this lamp ideal for various locations: at home, in the office, even in commercial spaces.
