Product description

The Oaxaca Chair has been created by Acapulco Design for the brand Acapulco Design. It is named after the region of Mexico that inspired its design. It is a contemporary take on the country's design from the midcentury that showcases traditional craftsmanship.

The Oaxaca Chair has a frame made of galvanised steel that is finished with protective powder coating. Galvanisation is a process that coats the steel with zinc to prevent corrosion. This means the chair can stand up to the elements outdoors including rain without getting rusty. The frame is made of narrow rods that securely hold the shell in place. The way they are positioned creates a geometric pattern that is an aesthetic detail in itself. The frame is reclined backwards and dipped in the middle with a cone-shaped seat. It is ergonomic and made for hours of lounging outdoors. PVC mesh strips wound tightly around the frame form a firm seat and backrest that are comfortable to sit and lean against.

The Oaxaca Chair has a width of 70cm, a height of 90cm and a depth of 95cm. The chair comes in combinations of bright colours that are recognised as traditional Mexican hues.
