Tulip Chair

The Tulip Chair from the Tulip collection by Eero Saarinen, designed in 1957 for Knoll International.

With the Tulip Chair the designer Saarinen created the first chair of the 60s where its seat shell and base visually make up one unit - innovative and modern! Additionally, the purist Tulip Chair perfectly harmonises with the Saarinen Table, a beautiful ensemble for every dining room. Also in conference rooms the Tulip Chair offers highest comfort. Thus, it is no wonder that the Tulip Chair already won several design awards and became an absolute classic!

The seat shell of the Tulip Chair is made of plastic and reinforced with fibre glass. The base with its characteristic trumpet shape is made of light metal with a rilsan surface coating. This creates a tulip shape, which gave the Tulip Chair its name. A removable cushion provides extra comfort.
