The Noir Armchair has a frame made of resin. This is a type of plastic that is lightweight, strong and hardwearing. It has been woven to resemble polyethylene natural wicker that outdoor furniture was traditionally made of. It is known as resin wicker or all-weather wicker because it is treated to withstand the effects of the elements without getting damaged. The chair has a curved backrest that extends forward to form armrests. It is just as wide as the seat below it. The backrest and the seat have a woven pattern over them that replicates woven wicker. The look is completed with decorative strands that have been tied over the armrests and legs. The shell rests on a frame that is also made of tubular resin wicker. While the front legs are straight, those that are the back are outspread to a small degree which the chair stronger and more stable.
