The Melt Stand Chandelier was created by Swedish design group FRONT and the design house/manufacturer Tom Dixon.
The Tom Dixon brand is a global phenomenon, with showrooms in New York, London, Hong Kong and Paris. This renowned British designer was entirely self-taught and has taken the contemporary and industrial design world by storm since the 1980s. He was awarded an OBE for his products and his contributions to British design, and a number of his creations are featured in museums such as London's Victoria and Albert, and the New York Museum of Modern Art.
This outstandingly beautiful Melt Stand Chandelier is a freestanding light, and part of the extensive Melt Collection. The chandelier has a polycarbonate and steel tripod style base, and features several of the unique, distorted lamps that are so characteristic of the Melt design. The chandelier is available with gold lamps only, and requires three or four halogen light bulbs. It measures 85cm in length, 87cm in width, and is 175cm high. The entire Melt Collection features lengthened, distorted lamps with a convincing molten glass appearance. When illuminated the lamps have an incandescent look, reminiscent of molten lava.
