The Nuage Céramique Vase S was created by Brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for design company Vitra.

Based in Paris, this award-winning design duo is going from strength to strength, and with ever-greater elegance, in the fields of glassware, furniture and ceramics. The Bouroullecs have become famous for their touch of poetic imagination, and the Nuage Céramique Vase S is a fine example. Natural forms and colours, too, are rarely far from their work - and are well-chosen here as a way to display other shapes from nature. And what could be more emblematic of the designer's sky-gazing search for inspiration than a cloud?

The smallest version of this vase, the Nuage Céramique Vase S might be the most perfect of all; in white ceramic and measuring only 19.5 x 11 x 8 cm, it's almost a bud-vase, ideal for the finest blossoms and leaves. The Nuage Céramique Vase S is lovely as a centrepiece for an intimate table or cheering up a corner of the desk. It can also work as a sculptural piece in its own right.
