The Shelf with Cabinet 160x200cm was designed by Nisse Strinning for the brand String. Together with his wife Kajsa, Swedish architect Strinning designed this shelf as well as other unique shelving units. The couple have created this and other iconic designs for every room in the home, outdoor spaces as well as offices and other commercial spaces. The idea with their designs is to supply panels. shelves and accessories and allow an owner to put together a shelving unit in a way that works for them.
The Shelf with Cabinet 160x200cm was designed in 1949 but has stood the test of time to remain a timeless, elegant flexible shelving system that is as functional as it is beautiful. The cabinet and other products in the String System allow the user to put together a shelf in a configuration that suits their needs and preferences. This is done using the brand's signature wire panels and shelves. The Shelf with Cabinet 160x200cm is 30cm in depth. It has a powder-coated steel panel, MDF shelving and a cabinet with two sliding doors. It works well in bedrooms, in the kitchen and in entryways and corridors.
