This smart and versatile Theo Filter Coffee Jug was designed by Francis Cayouette for the Danish label Stelton.
Stelton was formed in 1960 by two army friends Niels Stellan Høm and Carton Madelaire. An association with the firm Danish Stainless led to the production of serveware that proved extremely popular. Later collaborations with renowned talents such as designer Arne Jacobsen, who created the celebrated Cylinda line, and ceramist Erik Magnussen, who designed the Vacuum Jug, cemented the firm's reputation.
The Theo Filter Coffee Jug is a functional and stylish unit that plays the dual role as coffee brewer and carafe. It features a jug crafted from stoneware and a filter of black silicone which is placed on top. The funnel of the filter has just three holes to allow a gradual drip through thus maximising the flavour. Once the coffee has brewed, a bamboo cover is placed on top to keep it hot. With a height of 18.5cm and a diameter of 11cm at its widest point, the pot has a capacity of 0.6 liters. The Theo Filter Coffee Jug not only brews up a great cup of coffee, it also enhances any kitchen with its simple elegance.
