The Java Armchair has been created by Busk + Hertzog for the brand Softline. Named after the most populous island in Indonesia, and with a nod to the coffee house lifestyle, Java is a beautiful work from Danish designers Busk + Hertzog. With balanced proportions, soft curves and welcoming cushions, it will be a fine location for afternoon coffees, reading, and catching up on TV.
The Java Armchair has a simple composition with two chunky cushions arranged in a right angle format and a very slim base underneath with slider-style legs. The back and seat are integrated cleverly to create a single block of cushioning, while the seat cushion dips slightly at the centre, inviting sitters to settle down and sink into its softness. The cushions are available in a range of colours, and Vision fabrics are used for each. The slim base is made from black-finished steel.
The Java Armchair has a width of 80cm and a depth of 78cm, with a seat height of 39cm and a total height of 67cm. Thanks to its wraparound legs, the chair can be moved easily and the covers can be removed for dry cleaning as needed.
