The Lilium Lounge Garden Table was designed by Bjarke Ingels for the brand Skagerak.
A byword for quality furnishing since the late 1970s, the Danish high quality furnishings firm Skagerak has found an ideal design partner in Bjarke Ingels, who has garnered international acclaim for his architectural designs. The winner of numerous awards, this noted Danish architect was one of Time magazine's "100 most influential people" in 2016 and is justly recognised for his playful style which, whilst experimental, innovative and boundary-pushing, is always grounded in pragmatism and usefulness.
This philosophy is clearly to the fore in the contemporary Lilium Lounge Garden Table. This 50cm high garden table is clean and spare, with its crossed steel legs supporting a 60 x 60cm teak table. The curve of the legs and the rounded edge of the table serve to soften and balance its austere lines. The teak is untreated, giving the owner the option of oiling it to keep it as it is, or allowing it to take on a silvery patina with age and weathering. This beautiful table is designed to mature with your garden, and should give pleasure for many years to come.
