Product description

The Mariette Stool has been created by Marie Michielssen for the brand Serax. It has been pared down to the essentials of a seat and a base. The minimalist look reflects the designer's focus which is always optimal functionality. Another hallmark this designer is known for is incorporating aesthetic details into the form of a piece.

On the Mariette Stool,it has been added with gentle, graceful curves. It is made of concrete, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It has a seat that has the intriguing shape of a quadrant. It has two straight lines and one curved one that joins the two. Rather than having a separate base, the stool is a singular piece. It is achieved using a mould that concrete is poured into and left to dry into the desired shape. It is supported by a slim base that is hidden under the stool. It is also made of concrete and finished to match.

The Mariette Stool has a length of 37cm, a width of 37cm and a height of 45cm. It comes in neutral colours that are easy to incorporate into a space. This unique piece can be used as a side table in a living room or as a bedside table.
