The Mikkel Plaid/Throw 135x200cm has been created by Kristine Five Melvær for the brand Roros Tweed. With a history that goes back to 1940, Roros Tweed has perfected the use of Norwegian wool to make curtains, throws, upholstery fabric and tweed. Today, the company focuses on high-quality throws made of pure wool that are inspired by the culture of the mining town of Roros. The Mikkel Plaid/Throw 135x200cm is one of them. It is part of the Mikkel Series launched at the ICFF in New York back in 2015, where it was awarded best textile at the ICFF Editors Awards. Its patterns are inspired by the Bauhaus movement and traditional Norwegian weaving traditions. It is also contemporary thanks to the use of colours mixed in exceptional combinations. Some are monochromatic while others combine colours that contrast strikingly like blue, red, green and black or peach, brown, red and white. The colours are combined in rows and columns, giving them a homey, cosy, traditional look which the soft lambswool they are made of also enhances. The edges are finished with a blanket stitch.

The Mikkel Plaid/Throw 135x200cm has a length of 200cm and a width of 135cm. It is available in six colour combinations.
