Boule Medium Floor Lamp Pedestal Black

The Boule Medium Floor Lamp has been created by Sebastian Herkner for the brand pulpo. With its nested bowl composition, this elegant lamp will make an impression wherever it is used. It typifies the restrained approach of Herkner - Maison d'Objet's 2019 Designer of the Year - while also fitting neatly into pulpo 's collection of finely crafted glass furnishings.

The use of materials is a major strength of the Boule Medium Floor Lamp. Herkner has used blown glass to create a diffuser which resembles the balls used in the French game of boules. A larger 58cm diameter external sphere sits atop a smaller luminaire, which contains the lamp's bulb, while tinted glass refracts the light in magical ways, muting any glare in the process.

The "boule" diffuser isn't the only aspect of the Boule Medium Floor Lamp that impresses. Underneath the ball, Herkner has added a porcelain base which has been produced by the artisans of the Bavarian company Rosenthal. This anchors the lamp well, while creating an appealing contrast. The whole unit is 74cm tall. The lamp has a 400cm cable, making positioning extremely easy. The lamp has an E27 socket. The light source is included in the delivery.
