Product description

The Blash Medium Wall Shelf has been created by Silo Studio for the brand pulpo. Silo Studio is a two-person team comprised of Attua Aparicio Torinos and Oscar Lessing. The two met as product design students and formed a friendship that later developed into a business partnership. They favour a hands-on approach that they call 'handmade hi-tech'. With this process, the goal is to discover new possibilities by working by hand rather than with machines. Their works are therefore a mix of the old and the new, thanks to the way they combine hand-worked craft and technology.

The Blash Medium Wall Shelf is a good representation of this. Made of cast glass, these shelves look like a pool of light against a wall thanks to their colours. There is also a choice of shelves in transparent cast glass. Evidence of handcrafting can be seen in the streaks, bubbles and other variations. The shelves can stand alone or they can be used to hold small items like keys, toys and keepsakes. They can be used in any room and can be mounted at any height depending on their purpose. The Blash Medium Wall Shelf measures 50cm in width, 11cm in height and 20cm in depth.
