The Babila 2700 Chair was designed by Odo Fioravanti for Italian furniture brand Pedrali.
Fioravanti studied Industrial Design in Milan prior to working as an industrial, exhibition and graphic designer. He is renowned as an innovative thinker and a true expert in production techniques -- these underpin his innovative designs. The designer himself cites his ability to think deeply and knowledge of production techniques as the key components of his work. His design philosophy is rooted in re-thinking everyday objects, taking a fresh take on regular items to reinvigorate them with a sense of charm and improved functionality. His works have been recognised with the Compasso D'Oro Prize in 2011.
The Babila 2700 Chair features an eclectic design that contrasts the use of material with a modern design. While the wood material lends a more rural feel, the slimline legs and tapered back support add a modern edge that updates any room including living rooms, hallways and dining rooms. One of the stand-out features of the chair is its ash-tree material, which brings a touch of traditional elegance that is ideal for more rustic décor. The chair measures 44cm wide, 79cm high and has a 52.5cm seat depth.
Seat Height: 46.5cm
