Product description

The Perch Light LED Table Lamp has been created by Umut Yamac for the brand Moooi. British architect Yamac creates pieces that are characterised by a multi-disciplinary approach. Through his pieces, he explores the space between architecture and functionalism. His abilities and approach are well-illustrated in the Perch Light LED Table Lamp. It derives its name from its form, which is that of a bird perched on the branch of a tree. The bird is made of hardwearing archival paper. It was folded origami-style to resemble a delicately perched bird. The branch it sits on, the stem and the circular base of the lamp are made of aluminum that is finished with a brass tone. A brass-toned mini cone represents a beak on the bird and another forms the tail. Another enchanting detail is the way the bird rocks back and forth on the branch if the lamp is placed where a breeze is blowing. When the lamp is switched on, the illumination gives the impression that the bird is glowing from within.
