The Tribeca Leonard Chandelier was designed by Soren Rose for the brand Menu. Born near Copenhagen, Rose acquired creativity from his artist mother and entrepreneurial flair from his businessman father. Founded in 2008, the Soren Rose Studio has become a celebrated supplier of interior furnishings for commercial and domestic suppliers. Rose describes himself as a minimalist materialist, which means he brings the finest design ideas to another level of perfection.
This purity is the essence of Scandinavian design, which makes Rose's work an ideal match for the Menu furniture label. The qualities that the brand embodies are evident in the Tribeca Leonard Chandelier, the profile of which is based on a Renaissance-style light fitting, a circular iron chassis upon which sat numerous candles. This configuration ensured an even spread of light, and absence of shadows. In creating the Tribeca Leonard Chandelier, Soren has "ghosted" away the chassis so that only the suspended array of light bulbs remain. Made of powder-coated steel or brass, the chandelier has a diameter of 46cm, is 15cm high and is fitted with a 500cm cable. The chandelier needs 5 E27 bulbs.
