The Milà Outdoor Armchair was designed by Jaime Hayón for the manufacturer Magis.

Founded in 1976, this firm has been at the forefront of Italian modernist design for 40 years, specialising in pieces made from metal and high-grade plastics using some state-of-the-art industrial techniques. With offices in several countries, Spanish designer Hayón is a truly international figure whose boundless creativity blurs the distinction between art and design. His clientele has included jewellers, fashion houses and restaurants as well as luxury furniture companies.

Turning the humble stackable plastic chair into a work of art, the Milà Outdoor Armchair from Magis is 84.5 cm in height and 55 cm in width, with a seat height of 46 cm. Made from air-moulded polypropylene reinforced with fibre glass, it is notable for the almost liquid fluidity of its lines, not only in its overall silhouette but also in the inner curves of its open backrest and arms. Light and portable yet also extremely durable, the Milà Outdoor Armchair is ideal for chic outdoor functions such as society garden parties or open air concerts.
