New York 33 Suspension Lamp

The New York Suspension Lamp was designed by Peter Jamieson for the manufacturer Kdln. His goal in doing so was to create an elegant ceiling light that would also function as a targeted spotlight for the area immediately below it. The body is a tapered cylinder that hangs from a central cable that also serves as the conduit for the power source.

This lamp features a glossy surface with a distinctive pattern. It is available in three colour variations, each of which has a lacquered finish. The pattern is a repeating square print based on quilted leather. It is best suited to hanging above a dining table in any modern home. Since the lamp shade is opaque the primary direction of illumination is the area in a cone above and below this light fitting.

The New York Suspension Lamp has a diameter of 33cm and a height of 36cm. It is compatible with any standard E27 light bulb.
