Product description

The J42 Armchair Oak has been created by Børge Mogensen for the brand HAY. It is representative of traditional Danish design. It is made of wood and finished with eco-friendly water-based paint. This qualifies it for classification as a Sustainable Choice product.

The J42 Armchair Oak is made of solid oak and oak veneer sourced from Slovakia. It has a wide backrest that has spindles running down its length. The seat is as generously sized. It is rounded which is in keeping with the backrest's curved upper edge. Armrests on either side of it enhance the chair's comfort and aesthetic. The frame is made of oak. The legs are rounded which works well to create a streamlined profile because they are shaped like spindles. The chair's stability and strength are enhanced by the legs being slightly outspread. This helps the chair bear weight. They have gliders underneath that protect the floor from marks and scratches. Smaller bars that are also rounded run along and across the legs and form an H-shaped footrest.

The J42 Armchair Oak has a width of 57.5cm, a height of 87cm and a depth of 53.5cm. Its seat height is 44.5cm. It is available in natural, oiled or dark oak.
