The C-Chair All French Cane Dining Chair has been created by Marcel Gascoin for the brand Gubi. The late French designer Gascoin is remembered for unique pieces like this chair that he made a staple in French homes. He is also remembered for unique, inimitable detailing that turned basic, everyday items into works of art. The C-Chair All French Cane Dining Chair is a good representation of this. This 1947 chair is still in demand today. It was inspired by the need to create chairs that would fit in the houses that were being built in France after World War II, which didn't have a lot of space. This outstanding chair has a seat that appears to float above a frame made of solid oak. This is because of detailing that leaves a gap between the two. The seat and backrest are made of French cane. The legs on it are chunky, making it sturdy. Felt gliders make it easy to move the chair around.
