The Series 7™ Kid's Chair has been designed by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen. The late Jacobsen was a Danish architect and industrial designer who is credited and remembered for his great contribution to architectural functionalism and modern living. Many of his pieces went on to become iconic and are made available through re-issues. The Series 7™ Kid's Chair is one such piece. This best-seller derives its name from the seven layers of compression moulded inlays made of laminated ash veneer that are used to form the shell. This technique, which was first introduced in the 1920s, pioneered the gluing together of layers to create the shell of a chair. The chair has a broad backrest that tapers and then broadens out to form a well-sized seat. The shell rests on a steel frame that is finished with a powder coating and lacquer that matches the shell. A waterfall front edge supports little legs without pressing into them.
The Series 7™ Kid's Chair has a width of 40cm, a depth of 40cm and a height of 60cm. It has a seat height of 342cm. The chair is available in a variety of bright, fun colours. It is stackable.
