Dal Side Table

The Dal Side Table has been created by ferm LIVING and Anna Maria Øfstedal Eng for the brand ferm LIVING. It is listed as a Sustainable Choice product. It is a qualification that is earned by the use of recycled materials during production.

The Dal Side Table is made of 100% recycled cast aluminium and can safely be used outdoors. It is untreated so it will develop a patina over time. The table has a rectangular tabletop that has scalloped edges. It is inspired by the mountainside landscape in Gudbrandsdalen in Norway. It has caves that have distinctively shaped walls formed by the slow trickling of water that erodes the hard rock where the caves are located. The scalloped pattern is repeated on the base. It is made of two U-shaped slabs on either end of the table. They have the same scalloping all around except for the bottom where they are straight so that they provide a steady surface to support the table.

The Dal Side Table has a width of 100cm, a height of 47cm and a depth of 50cm. It can support a maximum load of 20kg. To keep it clean, it only needs to be wiped clean with a damp cloth followed by a dry one.
