Product description

The Bubble Chair has been created by Eero Aarnio for the brand Eero Aarnio Originals. As its name suggests, it really is a cocoon-like bubble where you can hide away from the world. It is designed and built for cosy, comfortable nestling.

The inspiration for the Bubble Chair was the designer's childhood fascination with soap bubbles. He brought this fascination into adulthood and created this acrylic chair made to resemble a bubble. It is mounted to the ceiling with a 200cm-long chain made of stainless steel. This was the only way to make it safe and steady because it was impossible to put a base on the acrylic orb-shaped chair. Doing so gave it a whole new look that endeared it to consumers and critics alike. To provide a comfortable seat and backrest, the chair has cushions padded with polyurethane foam and upholstered premium-quality Sorensen leather.

The Bubble Chair has a width of 103cm, a height of 105cm and a depth of 90cm. It comes with cushions upholstered in neutral-coloured leather. The chair can hold a maximum load of 200kg. It will make a comfortable addition to a living room or child's bedroom.
