Shell Tealight Holder

The elegant Shell Tea Light Holder was designed by Magnus Löfgren for the design and retail company Design House Stockholm.

Design House Stockholm is a Scandinavian design publishing house based in Sweden. It was founded in 1992 by Anders Färdig. Its collection includes work by over 60 independent designers from around the world. Magnus Löfgren is a Swedish designer that studied design and crafts at the University of Gothenburg. In the mid-1980's he established his own studio in Stockholm. His successful designs have earned him several prestigious awards, including the Excellent Swedish Design Award and the Design Plus Prize in Frankfurt.

The Shell Tea Light Holder has a charming clam-like shape and a highly polished finish. Fitted with a hinge, the tea light holder appears as an attractive streamlined box when closed. It is designed to hold a tea light candle, creating a cosy ambience when it is lit. It is constructed from zinc alloy with brass and copper. The dimensions are 10cm in diameter and 3cm in height. Small and elegant, the Shell Tea Light Holder is suitable for placing on a mantelpiece, side table, dressing table or in the centre of a dining table.
