Moroso

The Italian company Moroso already exists since the year 1952. Agostino Moroso founded the company in Udine. Highly qualified, international designers have since been creating the Moroso upholstered furniture as well as living accessories in the styles from classic to avant garde. Some of Moroso's designers are Ron Arad, Carlo Colombo, Enrico Franzolini, Marc Newson, Toshiyuki Kita, and Patricia Urquiola.

Moroso places great value on quality. This way Moroso was the first Italian manufacturer of upholstered furniture to receive the ISO 9000 certificate for company management and another certificate for project planning, production, and customer service. In the year 1999 Moroso also received the environmental management certificate ISO 14001. Here Moroso was the first upholstery furniture maker to receive such an award as well.

One substantial feat in the quality system by Moroso is the never ending search for the optimisation of every possible aspect and detail. This is the only way the continuing high standard and quality of Moroso design objects can be guaranteed.

At Moroso all products are manufactured in production processes that are friendly towards the environment. To harm the environment as little as possible Moroso uses mostly natural materials or such that can be recycled.

Moroso offers a large range of products for design lovers. Next to sofas, chairs, tables, and benches they also produce beds, mirrors, bar stools, and garden furniture.

Moroso is especially famous for their Supernatural chair, the O-Nest armchair, and the Little Albert outdoor armchair. The Supernatural armchair was created by designer Ross Lovegrove. His inspiration for this armchair was nature itself. The O-Nest armchair had its origin in an ingenious idea by Tord Boontje in the year 2005. Ron Arad designed the Little Albert outdoor armchair in the year 2000.
