The TR Bulb Suspension Lamp was designed by Tim Rundle for the brand Menu. Based in Denmark, Menu is a cosmopolitan furniture brand which explores innovative new avenues in design, while respecting Scandinavian traditions. London-based New Zealander Rundle is a good fit for that mission, having served as one of Terence Conran's chief industrial designers and worked with prestigious clients like Air New Zealand and Joseph Joseph.
The TR Bulb Suspension Lamp takes its name from Rundle's initials and sums up his approach, mixing elegant aesthetics with technical features that place it in the top ranks of contemporary lighting. The TR Bulb Suspension Lamp is based around a spherical diffuser made from opal glass which measures 20 x 22 cm. The diffuser isn't just a standard luminaire, however. Rundle designed it so that users can easily attach it to almost all household lighting fixtures - a great solution for people who regularly move from property to property or who love to make over their interiors on a regular basis. The diffuser connects to light sockets via a nylon and steel assembly which includes a 300cm cable, while an E27 bulb provides ample illumination for larger rooms.
