The Calvert Chess Side Table was designed by Ferdinand Kramer for the brand e15.
With the mantra of consistent design, paired with high grade materials, e15 maintains an innovative, hand-crafted finish throughout its ranges. Now based in Germany, the company started up in London in 1995, named after the postcode where it was based. Ferdinand Kramer is a 20th century architect and furniture designer whose functional, pleasing style has stood the test of time. A native of Frankfurt, Ferdinand is credited with anticipating the 'flat pack' furniture movement.
Made from light oak, the Calvert Chess Side Table sits on two flat planes of wood crossed symmetrically, with a cut out centre under the table. The top of the table is inlaid with a chessboard-style design in black and oak. This can be used for chess and other similar board games. The Calvert Chess Side Table has dimensions of 55cm in width, 55cm in length, and 40cm in height. The simple, timeless Calvert Chess Side Table is excellent for games, and is light enough to be moved around, making it very versatile. The light oak finish would add a high quality touch to traditional or modern decors.
