Product description

The CH53 Soft Tones Footstool Frame Beech has been created by Hans J. Wegner for the brand Carl Hansen. Designed in 1966, it has never gone out of style. This is thanks to its refined, minimalist design.

It has been shaped into rounded bars that have been used as front and back legs. Others run along and across the legs to reinforce the footstool's strength. The star of the show is the seat. It is made of paper cord and is hand-woven. Its earth-toned natural colours create an aesthetic of contrast against the colour of the frame. The tight weaving provides a firm, comfortable surface for resting the feet, sitting or using as a side table. Another way to use it is to join two of them to form a bench that goes in an entryway, beneath a window or at the foot of a bed.

The CH53 Soft Tones Footstool Frame Beech has a width of 50cm, a height of 48cm and a depth of 38cm. Its seat height is 43cm. It comes with a frame in neutral and earthy colours. Other pieces in the collection like chairs and loungers can be used to assemble a coordinated set.
