The Kaasa Lantern was designed by Ilkka Suppanen for popular furniture manufacturers iittala.

Suppanen is one of the world's foremost Finnish designers, with a multi-skilled portfolio that includes architecture and project management. In 1995, he founded his eponymous studio in Helsinki. He has also taught at the University of Art and Design in Hesinki since 1996 and founded the Snowcrash design cooperative in 1997 with three of his colleagues. His design ethos is grounded in curiosity and continual development. His studios have won several awards, including the Young Designer of the Year Award.

The Kaasa Lantern brings an air of drama and refinement to your home environment. The lamp is expertly mouth-blown in coloured glass, with a candle holder made of stainless steel to provide durable use and resist stains. With rounded edges and gracefully sloping convex sides, this lamp transforms any tea light into a magical light source that enhances the mood of the room or outdoor space. The lamp is 11.5cm high and has a 14.1cm diameter, giving a good amount of light without any unpleasant glare.
