The Plissé Electric Kettle170cl has been created by Michele de Lucchi for the brand Alessi. Italian architect and industrial designer Lucchi is recognised as one of the pioneers of contemporary design. A good number of his pieces are exhibited in prestigious design museums in the USA, Europe and Japan. The Plissé Electric Kettle170cl exemplifies the designer's experimental approach that transforms everyday items into works of art. The kettle has a sculptural design with a body that resembles the pleats that are seen on clothes. Its handle has the same pleated look. At first glance, it looks like a pitcher that would be found on a table in a farm house. It has an old school charm and appeal but is made of thermoplastic resin.

The Plissé Electric Kettle170cl has a capacity of 1.7 litres. It is 21cm in length, 16cm in width and 29cm in height.
