The B 9 Side Table Set of 2 Beech has been created by Marcel Breuer for the brand Thonet. Hungarian born Breuer was a major participant in the Bauhaus movement, gaining fame for his modernist chairs, and winning the prestigious AIA Gold Medal in 1968. He regularly worked with German label Thonet, including on the B9 family - one of the first sets to make ergonomic storage a core priority.
This B 9 Side Table Set of 2 Beech dates back to the mid 1920s, when Breuer was tasked with creating a set of furnishings for the canteen at the Dessau branch of the Bauhaus School. But it hasn't aged at all, and still has a fresh, dynamic look. With its arched appearance and understated colours, it will suit contemporary interiors of all styles.
The B 9 Side Table Set of 2 Beech features two tables, which can nest together to offer an efficient storage solution. Both are made with a single length of steel tubing and feature beech tabletops which can be used for placing hot drinks, flowers, and any other home ornaments. The unit measures 52cm in length, 39cm in width and 50cm in height and weighs 9kg in total.
