Fiber Chair with Castors and Gas Lift

The Fiber Chair with Castors and Gas Lift was designed by Berlin Iskos for the brand Muuto.

The Danish manufacturer took its name from the Finnish word muuto, which means, in essence, new perspectives. The company encourages new designers to express themselves with the freedom that brings new ideas. They also lean on the knowledge of experienced designers. Berlin Iskos is a partnership of 2 designers, Aleksej Iskos and Boris Berlin, who are involved in the areas of industrial furniture and graphics.

The Fiber Chair with Castors and Gas Lift  has a shell that is made of a composition of plastic and 25% pine wood fibres. The plastic and wood fibre is blended and injected into a mould, which forms the chair's shell. The Fiber Chair with Castors and Gas Lift is made  from a percentage of natural material, which means that variations in colour sometimes occur. The pivot that swivels the chair is made from die-cast aluminum, and there is a  pressurised gas lift for lowering and raising the height of the chair. It has a length of 70cm, a width of 70cm, a height of 76cm and a seat height of 46cm.
