Since its founding in 1970, the Swiss lighting manufacturer Belux stands for exceptional lighting concepts. Thomas Egloff, founder of Belux, did not shrink away from finding forging his own path from the very beginning. Egloff was always looking for innovative materials, manufacturing processes and offbeat designs which were pioneering the field of interior design.
On board the Belux boat alongside the boss are renowned designers like Michele de Lucchi, Matteo Thun, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and Ron Arad, who have designed lighting for Belux. And the success has proved Thomas Egloff right: Numerous lights and lamps from the Belux company have been honoured with design awards, such as the BeluxOne by One series by Steve Lechot who was awarded the coveted "Red Dot Design Award", the classic Belux Liftolinoby Benjamin Thut, the Floor Lamp BeluxTwilight or the BeluxCloud Suspension Lamp by Frank Gehry.
Some of these excellent lights are also among Belux’s most famous designs, including the Up Down Collection, designed by Reto Schöpfer, and the Cloud Collection. The Cloud Collection consists of the Ground - to the Floor - up to the Hanging light, with different lights in different sizes, from small through to XL.
