The Fri? JH5 Armchair with Oak Wood Base was designed by Jaime Hayon for the brand Fritz Hansen.

Launched in 1882, Danish company Fritz Hansen has been collaborating with designers ever since, becoming instrumental in the launch of many iconic furniture designs. The brand's work with Spanish designer Jaime Hayon follows this trend. A native of Madrid, he is at the front of a new wave of designers who merge the lines between art, design and decoration to create a fresh take on interiors.

The Fri? JH5 Armchair with Oak Wood Base is a re-worked, re-imagined modern classic. It maintains the 'arm support' of a traditional armchair, but pares it down into curving, ergonomic lines, the dimensions of which are 90.5cm height, 80cm width, 88cm depth, 43cm seat height, and 58.5cm arm rest height. The oak base and legs support a fixed upholstery that is padded with polyurethane foam. The Fri? JH5 Armchair with Oak Wood Base can be covered in a range of fabrics and colors. Although they work well on their own, the chairs look stunning as a pair set with a sofa. The soft lines of this armchair also ensure that it will look right in a bedroom.
