Part of a wider Eames collection also marketed by Vitra the EA 101 Aluminium Chair Black Base has a four-legged design in which an aluminium shell supports an ergonomically sculpted padded seat. The padding used is lightweight and luxurious, and has been stitched into a distinctive horizontal pattern, which enhances the feel and look of the chair simultaneously.
