The Fred? Lounge Chair Oak Base was designed by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen.

Fritz Hansen is a Danish design label founded in Copenhagen in 1872 by a cabinet-maker with a passion for handcrafting in wood. Today, the label recreates 20th-century classics as well as working with new designers. Winner of the Edida Designer of the Year Award in 2016, Jaime Hayon brings a Spanish heritage and industrial design background to interior design.

Pleasing to the eye and definitely comfortable to sit on, the Fred? Lounge Chair Oak Base is a piece of furniture that hits the perfect balance between contemporary and classic. The chair looks just as comfortable in public settings as it does in the home. The frame is crafted in lightly stained natural oak and has a well-proportioned silhouette that sits low to the ground. Its rounded edges, curved backrest, wide armrests and decorative joints pay homage to the Danish woodworking heritage. Generously large cushions made of polyurethane foam and featuring detachable covers sit invitingly within the frame. The Fred? Lounge Chair Oak Base measures 77.4 x 85.2 x 80.5 cm and has a seat height of 41cm.
