All of its raw materials are biodegradable, renewable or recyclable. El Schmid started his career as a metal worker, becoming familiar with bronze, brass and silver. This background influences his cutting-edge product design work.

The Neat Noon Table Lamp is part of Schmid's Noon lighting range. While primarily designed for large public spaces, the Noon range contains pieces such as this table lamp that work just as well in the home. Schmid brings his metalworking skills and his love of simplicity to a design that is geometrically abstract while being durable and practical. In contrast to the rigid outline of the lamp's support, the textile lampshade is soft and light. The support is made from powder-coated iron given a dark patina finish while the shade is fashioned from Lamitex and fabric and available in a choice of colours. The Neat Noon Table Lamp measures 30 x 46 x 30 cm and requires one Halogen 46W bulb.
