The Echino 667 Side Table Ø68cm was designed by Sebastian Herkner for the brand Zanotta .
Herkner is a young German designer who was named Maison&Objet's Designer of the Year in 2019 and has rapidly acquired a reputation for creating eye-catching products. Developed with Italian label Zanotta , 2019's Echino collection shows off Herkner's ability to use glass creatively, adding deep tones and unusual textures while mining the traditions of 1960s design to great effect.
The Echino 667 Side Table Ø68cm is one of the stars of the collection. Streamlined, attractive, lightweight, and wonderfully practical, it adds a touch of class to living rooms and lounges. The Echino 667 Side Table Ø68cm measures 68cm in diameter and has a round tabletop fashioned from pure steel. The metallic quality of the tabletop contrasts beautifully with the three blown glass legs, which raise the table 34cm from the ground - a convenient height for placing magazines, TV remotes, or coffee cups. Look more closely and you'll see that these glass legs display a fine striated pattern, adding a richer texture which refracts light and gives the table a much lighter, almost weightless look - a fine mix of aesthetic imagination and pure functionality.
