The Echino 667 Side Table Ø48cm was designed by Sebastian Herkner for the brand Zanotta.
Zanotta was established in 1954 and is a leading manufacturer of high end products that combine technological innovation and design. The products, considered by many to be art pieces, are handmade and are featured in many museums. Sebastian Herkner combines traditional materials and manufacturing methods with new technologies to create objects that add value for the consumer.
One such product is the Echino 667 Side Table Ø48cm. Herkner has used traditional glass blowing techniques to form the legs and pays tribute to industrial style by means of the steel table top. The Echino 667 Side Table Ø48cm has legs made from 3 layers of blown glass in light blue with a 5mm mirrored finished steel table top. The tubular glass legs support the steel table top, creating a height of 44cm. The legs have a ribbed effect and provide an original and unique appeal. The mirrored top, which is 48cm in diameter, adds to the contrasting combination of material. The Echino 667 Side Table Ø48cm has small caps of steel on the bottom of the legs, creating a symmetrical balance.
