Unna Extendable Table

The Unna Extendable Table was designed by Monica Förster for the brand Zanat.

The new design label Zanat is based in Bosnia and Herzegovina and demonstrates the country's woodworking heritage and hand-carving skills, cultural attributes that have been recognised by UNESCO. Alongside this heritage and history, the label also showcases sustainability in furniture making. Monica Förster brings a modern Scandi influence to the label's creations with her strong sense of simple lines and aesthetics. Among her prestigious prizes are the Interior Innovation and Designer of the Year awards.

The Unna Extendable Table is lightweight, despite being made of solid wood, and multipurpose. It fits into the label's Unna range of tables and chairs designed by Förster. Already elegant, the table becomes unique when extended. Lace-like extensions, which are hand-carved using traditional methods, slot into the middle of the table. These are in a contrasting colour to the table and when not in use are conveniently stored under the tabletop. The table is crafted from solid walnut and the easy-to-use extension mechanism is made from steel and wood. The Unna Extendable Table measures 260 x 85 x 74 cm.
