The Eames Fiberglass Side Chair DSW Golden Maple was created by renowned designers Charles and Ray Eames for the design company Vitra.

It's hard to overstate the importance of the Eames' on 20th century design. A brilliant pair of polymaths working in a variety of media, their status as two of the leading designers of the age was confirmed by their timeless, modernist furniture designs that are still produced today. Marrying a restless intellect to playfulness and a pioneering, innovative use of form, the Eames' were garlanded with awards in their lifetime, and their influence is still felt today.

Their style is encapsulated perfectly in the graceful yet sturdy Eames Fiberglass Side Chair DSW Golden Maple. Pioneering in its time for its use of materials, it pairs a moulded fiberglass seat with golden legs of maple, providing a pleasing contrast of traditional and modern textures. As with all Eames designs, it's as practical as it is aesthetically pleasing; with a seat height of 43cm and felt gliders on the feet to protect hard floors, it would work in a modern kitchen or dining room, with a range of seat colours to mix and match.
