The Mayor AJ5 3-Seater Sofa Walnut Base has been created by Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen for the brand &Tradition. Mayor was first created in 1939 as a furnishing for the town hall in Søllerød - a Copenhagen suburb. Intended to decorate a wedding venue in the hall, this elegant furnishing range mixes luxury and glamour, while possessing the refinement that typifies Lassen and Jacobsen's classic works.

The Mayor AJ5 3-Seater Sofa Walnut Base is a broad sofa with three cushions and high arm and back rest elements. The vertically aligned side and back sections enclose sitters comfortably, and the surface of the upholstery is punctuated by discreet studs. The fabric used has a rich velvet texture and pine green tone, and CMHR foam has been added to the interior of the cushions for extra softness.

The Mayor AJ5 3-Seater Sofa Walnut Base measures 200cm wide and 62cm deep, with a seat height of 43cm and a total height of 82cm. The frame of the sofa has been crafted from solid walnut wood, and features a long horizontal base strut, accompanied by four short feet with slightly tapered interior edges. Attractive and comfortable, this timeless sofa will be the perfect addition to living rooms, spare rooms, and lounges.
