Special Edition S 64 V Cantilever Armchair

The Special Edition S 64 V Cantilever Armchair has been created by Marcel Breuer for the brand Thonet. Though decades have passed since it was first conceived in 1928, it has never lost its allure thanks to its timeless design. It has a backrest that is just slightly reclined and a well-sized seat. Like the backrest, it features Vienna wickerwork that is set within an oak or walnut frame. The wood is FSC-certified. The chair has armrests that are made of the same wood that forms a frame around the weave. The Special Edition S 64 V Cantilever Armchair has a base that is made of powder-coated steel. At the time the chair was designed, the use of steel in place of wood for making furniture was considered innovative, as was the use of tube-shaped metal. On this chair, the tubular steel forms a base shaped like a sled with gliders underneath.

The Special Edition S 64 V Cantilever Armchair has a width of 58cm, a height of 82cm and a depth of 62cm. It has a seat height of 46cm and an armrest height of 67cm. It is available in oak and walnut with a matte smoke chrome or black powder-coated steel.
