Meteor Stool/Side Table S

The Meteor Stool/Side Table S has been created by Arik Levy for the brand Serralunga. It is named and inspired by the meteor which is also colloquially known as a falling or shooting star. It has high mechanical strength that makes it very resistant to impact damage.

The Meteor Stool/Side Table S is made of polyethylene. This is a type of synthetic resin that is lightweight yet very strong. The table is made using a manufacturing process known as rotational moulding. This is where melted plastic is poured into a mould so that it sets as a single piece. This eliminates joints that would be most susceptible to damage. In addition to its strength, polyethylene also has UV protection so it can safely be used outdoors. It is also 100% recyclable making it an eco-friendly option. The top of the table has an irregular shape just like meteors have. Its body follows these contours. On the underside of the base, it has gliders that lift it off the ground and protect the floor.

The Meteor Stool/Side Table S has a length of 57cm, a width of 50cm and a height of 30cm. It has a seat height of 30cm. It comes in neutral colours.
