The decorative Poppy collection, designed by Ulrich Beckert, Georg Soanca-Pollack, and Peter Thammer for Serien Lighting in 2006, was enhanced with another wonderful model: The wall and ceiling version is available with an altered ceiling rose and a reduced number of arms. Optionally with one, two, three, or five nimble articulated arms. This way the flower-like shades bloom not only as representative chandelier, but can also bring atmosphere to smaller, more intimate rooms, like hallways or the bedroom.
When Poppy is switched on, the shades open up similar to a blossom. The fine sheets of bi-metal make it possible: they expand from the heat of the illuminant and make it look as if a flower were blooming. Poppy - the name already says it - features the shape of a poppy: its bud, the goblet-like shade of hand-blown glass in ruby red, ceramic, or black violet becomes translucent when the light shines through.
Its stem made of a flexible tube in black or beige is fabric-covered and can be bent into any direction. This way its shape and lighting can be changed individually - wild and playful or straight and focused.
The Poppy is available in different versions, please see "product information" for details.
