Alura Sunlounger

This elegant Alura Sunlounger was designed by Kris van Puyvelde for the Belgian label Royal Botania.

Royal Botania was established in Nijlen in 1992 by two partners who'd studied engineering together in Antwerp. They started importing teak furniture from Indonesia but were disappointed by the quality and decided to design and manufacture it themselves. A focus on quality and innovation quickly attracted an international customer base, and the firm soon expanded into bathroom furnishings and outdoor lamps, while broadening their choice of raw materials to include stainless steel, aluminium, ceramics and synthetics.

Fashioned from lightweight and sturdy aluminium and plastic, the Alura Sunlounger delivers a blend of luxurious repose and contemporary Belgian style. Measuring 194cm in length, 81cm in width, and with a height of 41cm, the lounger is fully adjustable. A push of a button changes the angle from flat to upright. The unit also features recessed casters for ease of movement.
