The Foodie Smoothie Blender 0.5L has been created by Anne Marie Raaschou-Nielsen and Francis Cayouette for the brand RIG-TIG by Stelton. RIG-TIG means 'just right' in Danish, and that sums up the design approach of the brand, which is known for attractive aesthetics and accomplished technical features. Both aspects are on display with the versatile Foodie Smoothie Blender 0.5L.

This compact blender measures 29.5cm high and has a maximum diameter of 10.3cm, and it has a classic blender arrangement. The base unit contains the 180W motor and a single on/off button, and it connects to mains sockets via an unobtrusive cable. Above that, the designers have added a BPA and phthalate-free blending chamber which can be removed from the base for serving.

The chamber of the Foodie Smoothie Blender 0.5L is capped by a removable lid, which like the base is made from powder-coated stainless steel. The blender comes in a variety of pastel or plain colours, which will look good alongside wooden surfaces and white kitchen tiles. With 500mls of capacity, it can be used to prepare morning smoothies or soups and has the power needed to handle virtually all types of fruit and vegetable.
