Stellar Small Suspension Lamp

The Stellar Small Suspension Lamp has been created by Sebastian Herkner for the brand pulpo. pulpo is a German brand which is known for innovation, something it shares with Herkner - who has been working with the label since founding his Offenbach studio in 2006. Stellar is a range of lamps based around astronomical themes, which use glass and steel to create planet-like forms.

However, products like the Stellar Small Suspension Lamp aren't just for sci-fi fans. Herkner has used artisan techniques to create a glass sphere, half of which is ridged, while the other half is finished with frosted acetate. This conjures up the image of a planet turned away from the sun - an impression which works beautifully as the lamp rotates on its 320cm cable.

The spherical luminaire measures 23cm in diameter, making this a relatively small entry in the Stellar collection. Available in various colours, the Stellar Small Suspension Lamp comes with a bulb which takes on the colour of the diffuser. The lamp has an E27 socket. The light source is included in the delivery. The lamp can also be combined with other Stellar products to create entire solar systems in the home.
