Hashira Table Lamp

The Hashira Table Lamp has been created by Norm Architects for the brand Menu. The Danish company Norm Architects is named after its focus on drawing inspiration from the norms and traditions of Scandinavian design and architecture. Their inspiration leads to the design of pieces that have superior craftsmanship and timeless beauty and simplicity. This design ethos is well illustrated in the Hashira Table Lamp. A take on traditional Japanese lanterns made of rice paper, it is named after the Japanese name for pillar. It has a cylinder-shaped shade made of translucent fabric that is set on a frame made of welded steel. The shade has the detail of accent lines that go around the top and bottom and across and along the middle in a contrasting colour. The shade functions as a diffuser, projecting light all around. It is set on a round base made of ash wood that adds to its organic look and feel.

The Hashira Table Lamp has a height of 49.5cm and a diameter of 18cm. Its textile cord is 200cm long. It can be dimmed via a dimmer switch. The lamp is available in a choice of linen or raw, referring to the material from which the shade is made. The appropriate lamp with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
